Join us for this in-person, day-long workshop in Oakland, CA
Organized by the East Bay Meditation Center
Fierce Vulnerability envisions a movement that recognizes that injustice is not a political issue, but a manifestation of our collective trauma. And because injustice is a manifestation of trauma, we can’t “shut down” injustice any more than we can “shut down” trauma.
Resistance to injustice, therefore, is an attempt at healing our collective wounds.
How do we build fierce movements that have the capacity to meet this current moment while acknowledging that vulnerability might be our greatest strength?
How can we engage in nonviolent action that not only “shut” things down, but open things up?
How do we prepare ourselves to build such a movement? What is the healing work required of us to lead in this way?
Join us as we explore these questions.
