List of Feelings & Needs

Double-sided Handout

The practice of identifying feelings and needs is a liberating practice that comes out of the tradition of Nonviolent Communication, developed by Marshall Rosenberg.

This partial list of feelings and universal human needs were adapted from the work of many people and organizations, including the Center for Nonviolent Communication, Bay NVC, Miki, Imbal and Amina Kashtan and many more.

NOTE:

The resources on this page are a gift.
You do not need to pay anything to download them.

At the same time, gifts offered in the spirit of the Gift Economy are not “free.” Rather, they are an invitation to be in a reciprocal relationship with me.

All of these resources take time for me to make, and I make them and offer them to the world because it gives me joy. If it would give you joy to help sustain my work and help me support my livelihood, I would appreciate your generosity.

Even $1 or $2 lets me know that you value my work and my time.
